Giraffe Illustration

Hey Y'all,

I'm doing a little traveling lately. I just got back from Vegas last night from a fashion show, and I'm leaving tomorrow for Mexico to lay on the beach at the Sea of Cortez with some friends. Hard work, I know.

In between the traveling, I managed to crank out this Illustration for a children's SKU. Click on the images for the larger version...

I'll get some more junk up here after I get back to the States.

Hiking in the Rocky Mountains

So, I have been busy lately.

Sometimes you get caught up in living, I guess. I was talking to my Mom and Pop the other day, telling them what I've been up to, and I realized that I never have a night when I'm not doing anything...or a weekend that I don't have plans.

So here's what I did two weekends ago.

Mike, Tony and I went the the Sneffels wilderness in the Rockies, and spent three days backpacking over the summit of Mt. Emma.

MARMOT!!!

It was a strenuous hike at 13,700ft. of elevation, which is alot for some one that lives in Scottsdale (not much higher than sea level...).

Slow N Low - Final

Well, I finally got around to finishing this piece. I've been working on so many other projects, it has been a few weeks since I had worked on it...

Slow N' Low

Hey Ya'll, I know It's been a while...I have been working with more package design lately (It goes in waves, so not alot of illustration in the past couple of weeks). Also, I have been traveling quite a bit lately. All of that to say, that I'm sorry that I'm so lazy with this blog.

So, in attempts to remedy this, I am posting an incomplete job that I recently started. It's very possible that this may be the silliest piece that I have done...to date. But it's kinda fun and cool at the same time...

...and really I can't complain too much, I could be working construction in this Phoenix heat (God bless you, if you do).

Again, this is a good ways from done, but at least it's something new. Maybe, next posting I can scrounge up some photos of my recent bike trip in Prescott.

Well, I didn't want you all to think that the only art that I do is pinup girls, so I am going to use this time to post some other stuff...

Clown Town...

So, I've known for some time now that my co-worker Reid is very afraid of clowns.

Reid is out of town for a week...

...I like to mess with Reid.

This is the original artwork that I used for the prank.
The great thing is that, Reid is familiar with this
illustration that I did a couple years ago.

He was already fearful of it while I was painting it!

So, out of love mind you, I spent an hour of my day,
printing, tiling and hanging Reid's new cubicle wallpaper.

Now the prank has progressed into, the whole art department
contributing personal touches, in an effort to transform Reid's
cube into a scary clown town.

I ended my part in the prank with a special voice mail from
the spectre-clown, complete with calliope music, telling
Reid not to worry, that the clown would always be watching
him work...over his shoulder.

***UPDATE***

I came in early today, and was able to capture this photo of Reid in the cold grip of sheer terror.
